Mauri came to us as a first pony and has fulfilled that role perfectly. He has taken his current rider from the very basics all the way to an 80 cm derby course and regional-level dressage championships (Lätt B).
He is a brave, confident, and honest jumper who does not get hot, refuse fences, or shy away from obstacles. In a quality pony assessment, he received an average score of 9.5 for free jumping.
Mauri is kind, reliable, and easy to handle. A child can groom and tack him up independently. He loads and travels well and is always happy to meet you at the gate for attention. Although he has a little stallion-like character, a child can always groom him, and he is always focused and willing when it comes to work.
Before coming to us, Mauri lived in a run-in shelter, while with us he has been kept in a traditional stable. Mauri has been carefully and professionally maintained throughout his life, including regular dental care, hoof care, chiropractic treatment, and coaching. He has spent most of his life barefoot but is currently shod for competing on grass surfaces.
His full history is known. Clean leg X-ray taken in Dec 2024 support his suitability for competition. Buyers are welcome to arrange a veterinary examination to any extent they wish.
