A Polished Diamond – Every Young Rider’s Dream!
Nipsu has been part of our family for 9 years and has taught 2 riders from our family the ins and outs of competitive riding – eventing, show jumping, and dressage. He is everything an aspiring young competition rider could wish for: a best friend, a reliable partner wherever you go, and the most versatile pony in the world. Words simply can't capture how much this pony has given us – and still has to offer.
After a couple of years of careful consideration (and because the two youngest kids in our family aren't in the sport) we’ve come to accept that Nipsu deserves more than just casual cuddles in the pasture. Though he can happily live in a herd or stable, get along with almost any horse in turnout, and has always been the easiest, most straightforward pony in everyday care – including farrier visits, vet treatments, etc. – he truly thrives with a purpose.
Nipsu has been part of the Finnish national eventing team training squad, first with Anselmi and later with Inkeri, both riders have represented Finland with Nipsu in the Nordic Championships (CCIP1* level). He has competed in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Poland up to international 1* level in eventing, 110 cm in show jumping, and FEI 2* level in dressage. At home, he trains at more advanced levels across all three disciplines. Nipsu even featured as a demo pony at the Finnish Equine College for a clinic with Chris Bartle, performing all the same exercises as the full-sized horses. Nipsu may think he’s at least 165 cm tall, but in reality, he measures a proud 142 cm.
Nipsu loves swimming, hacking out, pulling a sled, therapy rides, or tagging along as a hand horse on trail rides. Honestly, there’s nothing I can think of that this pony can’t do – within reason for a horse, of course. He’s an experienced, calm traveler and has never been ill. Nipsu is well used to all kinds of noises, kids, and the everyday hustle of life. To our family’s children, He means the world.
This pony has so much to give and is currently in full competition condition.
